Student Involvement Home

Entrance of Student Activities EntranceStudent Involvement strives to enhance your experience at Sonoma State University. By getting involved you are able to make meaningful connections, expand on your skills, and find your place on campus. There is a club or organization for everyone, explore outlets ranging from academic/departmental, fraternity and sorority, multicultural, spiritual, political, social, special interest, performing arts, competitive sports clubs, and so much more!

Our goal is to provide ways for Seawolves to share experiences, grow, learn, and create niches. We focus on spirit, community, and tradition, which are the pillars that much of our programming and events are based on.

From our Seawolf Spirit Weeks that help to create connections, support our athletes, and build our Seawolf Pride, or our weekend Getaway Trips, Friday Night Lives, or DIY Craft Nights, we provide opportunities for Seawolves to connect around interests/shared experiences and build community. We also work with many campus partners to either help promote their events, or to work together on events like Big Nite, Potentia, Midnight Madness, and Siblings or Family Weekends that help to continue the Seawolves traditions we all know and love.

Learning and growing don’t just happen in the classroom, or by going to events and trips. So we also provide ways for students to challenge themselves, meet people and learn about things that might take them out of their comfort zone, through the educational events that we help co-produce. We are proud to support serieses such as Black and Brown in Blue, Heritage Month speakers, or our Save a Seawolf Programming that looks at drug use and abuse, sexual assault and consent, and stalking/trafficking. All of these issues and more are presented through our department and through various other departments and programs on campus.

Be sure to check out our campus event calendar on, and you'll see that, here at SSU, there really is always something to do!
