Plant Futures Initiative - Copeland Creek Cleanup

Copeland Creek Cleanup with Plant Futures on Sunday November 23rd at 10AM

Meet at the Agroecology Garden located next to the Environmental Technology Center
Sun, Nov 23, 10:00 am – 12:30 pm

Join us for a Copeland Creek Cleanup at Sonoma State University on Sunday Nov 23rd from 10am - 12:30pm! Meet us at the Agroecology Garden by the Environmental Technology Center. Students and community members are all welcome.  We will be awarding a prize to whoever collects the heaviest bag of trash! We will meet back at the Agroecology Garden to weigh our trash at 12 pm. Gloves and trash bags will be provided.  Play a part in preventing trash from disturbing this important ecosystem and eventually flowing into the ocean. Copeland Creek is habitat for owls, deer, fish, foxes, and more. The creek is essential as a corridor for animals to safely migrate through Rohnert Park, connecting Sonoma Mountain to the Laguna de Santa Rosa.    We received so much support and interest at our last Beach Cleanup, we wanted to create an even more accessible event located right on campus! We are so excited to gather with you to give back to the land and grow community!
