Join us for Conversations With Black & Brown In Blue Chaplains on April 6 at 7 P.M. in Ballroom A or on Zoom. Our honorary guests will bring an introspective conversation aiming to build a bridge between the community and law enforcement for a more inclusive community environment.
Speakers Dr. Cornelius L. Dennis, Rev. Kyev P. Tatum, Sr., and Bishop Ronnie White will discuss their experiences as Chaplains and give thoughtful insight about ongoing efforts in our communities throughout the nation that hold promise for real substantive and sustainable change.

Dr. Cornelius L. Dennis
Senior Pastor of The Father's Heart Worship Center
Dr. Cornelius L. Dennis is the Senior Pastor of The Father's Heart Worship Center located in Fairfield, California. He received his Bachelor of Biblical Studies, Masters of Christian Counseling, and a Doctorate of Divinity through Sacramento Theological Seminary and Bible College. He has also served as a former certified Diplomat Christian Teacher and staff member for STSBC.
Dr. Dennis is "The Author of Truth Teller, the Friend That Every Man Should Have," The Husband of Tanya Dennis, and the father of three.
Dr. Dennis has teamed up with Kingdom International Ministries, whose travels have reached into South and West Africa. Their international affairs have included:
- Meeting with world leaders.
- The introduction of programs that allocate international aid geared toward helping rebuild locations within countries that have been devastated by civil war and catastrophic events.
- Helping to build more educational platforms while developing trained leaders to impact the Judicial, economic, and spiritual climate surrounding the people.
- Raising funds to help build schools, churches, care homes, training centers, and other initiatives geared toward moral advancements.
Dr. Dennis is a former member of the advisory board to Life Streams International Ministries. Life Streams is a tactical mission outreach that feeds and houses African nations of forgotten indigenous people throughout the continent of Africa.
Dr. Cornelius L. Dennis has a heart for all nations of people. He desires to see all ethnicities come together and fulfill the mandate of Micah 4:1-2, where the mountain of the house of the Lord is established above all others, and all nations come to that mountain to learn the righteous way of the Lord.
Rev. Kyev P. Tatum, Sr.
Pastor and Administrator of New Mount Rose Missionary Baptist Church
Pastor Kyev P. Tatum, of the New Mount Rose Missionary Baptist Church in Fort Worth, Texas has spent over three decades advocating for civil rights, police accountability, economic development and health justice in vulnerable communities. His most recent project, "Church Clinic Without Walls," provides fresh food, vaccines, monoclonal antibody infusion treatments and access to testing in underserved neighbors to help build confidence in the black and brown communities to help stop the spread of COVID-19. A graduate of the University of North Texas, Pastor Tatum uses his experience as a collegiate wide receiver and civil rights activist to help lead change and demand equity. His CommuniVersity of Hope Approach to Law Enforcement is a creative and collaborative strategies-driven model to improve relationships between Law Enforcement and the communities they serve. He has served as an advisor to the Fort Worth Chief of Police Policy Community, the County Judge’s Committee on Truancy, and the District Attorney's Office Advisory Board.
Selected as one of the most influential people in Fort Worth, Texas in 2021 and 2022, Pastor Tatum’s most exciting project, the Inner City Coffee Exchange is in partnership with Texas A&M University Center for Coffee Research and What’s the Buzz Coffee to stimulate the economy following the pandemic for international coffee farmers, rural roasters, and inner-city families.
Bishop Ronnie White
Assistant Pastor of the New Hope Baptist Church
A resident of Chicago Heights, Ronald Jeffrey White was elected to the Board of Trustees in April 2015. He is assistant pastor for New Hope Baptist Church in Chicago Heights and a clinician with PsyCynergy Psychological Services in Harvey.
Dr. White has bachelor's and master's degrees in theology, a Doctor of Ministry and a Doctor of Philosophy from A.L. Hardy Academy of Theology in Seattle, Washington. Among his professional memberships, he serves on the Board of Directors for the South Suburban Council on Alcoholism & Substance Abuse in East Hazel Crest, is President for the International Conference of Police Chaplains; Chair of the Police Chaplains Section with the International Association Chiefs of Police, is chaplain for the Robbins Police Department, Village of Richton Park Police and Fire Departments, Palos Heights Police Department, Palos Park Police Department, Federal Air Marshal Service Chicago Field Office, Mutual Aid Box Alarm System for Illinois (MABAS-IL) Division 27, Park Forest Police, South Suburban Association of Chiefs of Police, and Chicago Heights Police and Fire Departments. He is also a United States Air Force Veteran.
